Seal-Guard® Impregnator for Porcelain & Stone is a superior, low odour impregnator to help prevent oil and water-based staining on all tile and masonry surfaces. This product was specifically formulated for use on porcelain, but is excellent on granite, marble, sandstone, pavers, and terra cotta. For both interior and exterior use.
Directions for Application on Polished Porcelain, Marble or Granite:
Use as is. Test in obscure area to determine suitability for the intended use. Surface should be clean, dry and free from any waxes, coatings, grout residue or finishes. The use of Sure Clean Porcelain and Stone Cleaner is highly recommended for this purpose. Protect any painted or stained surface adjacent to the application area. Apply one good coat to the polished porcelain, marble, granite or other highly polished surface, with a lambs wool, mop, roller, brush or pump sprayer. Leave for a minimum of five hours for drying and deep penetration, then apply a second coat to the area. Buff treated area before the second coat is dry. For small areas, use a soft rag. For larger jobs use a wool or white polishing pad with buffing machine. For optimum results, allow the treated surface to cure for 24 hours after buffing.
General Application Instructions for Grout, Tile or Masonry Products:
Use as is. Test in obscure area to determine suitability for the intended use. Surface should be clean, dry and free from any waxes, coatings or finishes. Protect any painted or stained surface adjacent to application area. Apply to surface in a thin, even coat with a pump, airless sprayer, brush, rag, mop or roller. One coat is normally sufficient, but a second application is recommended on more porous surfaces or heavy walkway areas to ensure complete coverage. For optimum results, the treated area should be kept dry and free from soils for at least 24 hours.
Pre-Grout Sealer/Grout Release:
Seal-Guard® Impregnator for Porcelain & Stone can be used as a grout release prior to grouting to prevent grout stains and facilitate grout cleanup on porcelain, terracotta, pavers, etc. On porcelain tiles or other porous tiles, treat the tile with Seal-Guard®, let it cure for 24 hours. After the curing time, markings can be made on the tile with permanent markers or pencils. These marks can subsequently be removed by applying Seal-Guard® Grout & Tile aerosol sealer to the mark. It will release the stain, then wipe off with a rag while wet.
Maintenance:
To clean treated areas, simply use water and mild detergent. There is no need to use harsh cleaning agents such as abrasive powders, ammonia, acids or bleach.
Coverage:
One litre will cover approximately up to 40m² depending upon material to be treated and method of application.
Expected Wear:
Seal-Guard® Impregnator for Porcelain & Stone will last for many years with proper maintenance on all treated surfaces; however, heavy walkway areas should be tested yearly and product reapplied if necessary.
Quantities:
Available in 1 litre containers (6 X 1 litres to a case), 5 litre containers (4 X 5 litres to a case) and 20 litre drums.
Storage/Shelf Life:
Keep sealed in original containers and store in a cool, dry place. When properly stored, shelf life is indefinite.
